# DIS Syd - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `dis-syd.se` ## Description DIS Syd is a regional association of DIS, an organization focused on using computers in genealogy. It serves family historians in Skåne, Blekinge and southern Halland, offering opportunities to learn, share research and get practical help with digital tools. Its activities include in-person and online meetings, study circles, workshops, lectures and beginner and advanced courses, often arranged with local genealogy groups and study associations. A central focus is Disgen, genealogy software that members can explore through training, workshops and support sessions. The association also provides guidance on related DIS resources, including Disbyt, DisbytMatch, Dispos, maps and the Släkten app. Members and other participants can join discussions, attend local gatherings and seek help with software or computer problems. DIS Syd publishes DISkutabelt, its member magazine, four times a year; two issues are digital and two are printed and mailed to members. Through its education, publications and community activities, the association supports people in researching family history and organizing their findings with digital tools. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Ancestry and Genealogy _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Education _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/ForeningenDISSyd) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idEZCypgV6/w/960/h/250/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1741662800428) - icon _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idEZCypgV6/w/170/h/170/theme/dark/icon.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793090935111) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Sapphire | #334f9e | accent | | Black | #000000 | dark | | Havelock Blue | #619bdb | light | ## Fonts - var(--tec-font-family-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ - Helvetica — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
