## Description

Discover Indiana is a public history project that shares the people, places, events, and cultural heritage of Indiana through digital stories and guided experiences. Visitors can explore featured and recent stories, browse by topic, search the collection, view locations on an interactive map, or follow curated tours that connect multiple places around a theme. Topics represented on the site include African American history, music, religion, architecture, labor, and Indiana’s communities and institutions. Stories are contributed by historians, local historical organizations, and other named authors, helping visitors encounter a range of perspectives on the state’s past.

The project is supported by a Public Projects grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Its development has also received support from the Public History Program at Indiana University Indianapolis, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, the Indiana Historical Society, Indiana Humanities, and Indiana Landmarks. Discover Indiana offers access to its content online and through links to its apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
