## Description

Disk Prices Tools was born out of frustration. We needed more storage for a NAS project, but what should have been a simple purchase turned into hours of research — endless tabs, scattered specs, and no clear answer. Existing comparison tools weren't helping either, cluttered with ads and missing the specs that actually mattered.

So we built our own. A script was written. Data was pulled. The tool was made public.

Disk Prices Tools is a free, ad-free platform that pulls every HDD, SSD, and NVMe drive into one sortable table with automatic $/TB calculations and full specs — capacity, RPM, CMR/SMR, TBW, MTBF, warranty, and more. Users can toggle columns, filter, search, and correct data themselves.

What started as a personal project is now used by thousands. Word of mouth on Reddit and Hacker News drove most of our growth.

Our philosophy is simple. We built Disk Prices Tools to solve a problem. A clean table that shows what each drive actually costs. Storage shopping doesn't need to be complicated. We made sure it isn't.
