Welcome to the Brazos County District 2 Volunteer Fire Department, proudly serving NE Brazos County since 1977. We are a dedicated team of highly trained and customer-oriented volunteers who are committed to the saving of lives and protection of property endangered by fires and other disasters. Our mission is to promote the teaching and practice of fire prevention and protection.

Located in northeast Brazos County, Texas, we provide fire and rescue services to the citizens of Edge, Kurten, Macey, Tabor, Wixon Valley, and surrounding communities. With a long tradition of excellence, we take immense pride in our commitment to serving our community. In addition to our emergency services, we also organize the annual Kurten Fireworks Show to celebrate the 4th of July.

This outstanding event not only offers a spectacular display but also serves as a fundraiser for those who volunteer to protect our community.
