Petra Bouwhuis is a personal support practitioner based in the Wijchen and Nijmegen area, focused on helping children with developmental delays and/or disabilities grow and develop. After deciding in 2022 to leave her previous work under the name Peet and begin a new direction, Petra pursued her goal of making a meaningful difference in children’s lives. She completed her Social Work studies at HAN in 2024 and is qualified to work as a personal begeleider, or personal support worker.

Petra’s approach centres on the belief that every child develops at their own pace. Rather than expecting rapid change, she values patience, trust and the progress that can come from small steps. She believes this supportive approach gives children room to flourish and can lead to significant development over time. Through her work, Petra aims to help children access opportunities and show what they are capable of.
