Div/Sum began with a simple belief: good meals should end with conversation, not calculators.

The idea grew from real moments shared between friends, roommates and fellow travellers. Restaurant bills became complicated when everyone ordered something different, groceries never felt fair when dietary needs varied, and group trips often ended with one person trying to calculate every item. While working as a digital nomad, Div/Sum’s founder saw the same situation repeatedly: new friends gathered around a table, only for the mood to disappear when it was time to determine who owed what.

Div/Sum was created to make those moments easier. Users scan a receipt, let the app extract the items and prices, add the people involved and allow everyone to claim what they ordered. Shared items can be divided between selected people, giving each participant a clear and fair total.

A split can also be shared through a unique public receipt page, allowing people without the app to review what they owe. Direct payment links for Revolut, PayPal and Venmo help everyone settle up without unnecessary messages, calculations or awkward reminders.

Available on iOS and Android, Div/Sum is designed for restaurant dinners, shared homes, group travel, grocery shopping and every occasion where people share an expense but not necessarily every item.

At its heart, Div/Sum is not just about dividing a sum. It is about fairness, clarity and preserving the good feeling of spending time together.
