## Description

Bill Dixon is a maker of handmade, custom bits and spurs, shaped by a family background in horse training and competition. After making bits for about 30 years to meet his relatives’ needs for particular horses, Bill began offering his work to the public in 1995. His experience training roping horses and working cattle informed his understanding of how different designs perform and why they suit particular horses.

Each piece is designed for the customer and handmade by Bill, with his wife, Billie, contributing the sterling work. Their small-scale production—about two to five items a week—allows each creation to reflect individual requirements and careful craftsmanship. The site emphasizes that the products are neither imported nor outsourced for another maker’s name to be stamped on them. Each numbered item bears the “Bill Dixon” stamp, representing his personal work and horsemanship knowledge. The brand’s offerings are custom bits and spurs for customers seeking equipment made with attention to their horses’ needs.
