## Description

**DJ Awards** is an esteemed annual event founded in 1998 by José Pascual and Lenny Krarup, dedicated to recognizing and celebrating achievements in dance music. Over the years, it has garnered a reputation akin to "The Oscars of Dance Music," attracting the biggest names in the electronic music industry, including legends like Daft Punk and Carl Cox. The awards embody the vibrant culture of Ibiza and are held in iconic venues such as Pacha and Hï Ibiza.

The DJ Awards evaluates a diverse array of artists through a meticulous three-step selection process that encompasses the nomination and public voting phases. In 2024, the event will highlight ten curated music categories reflecting the current trends and sounds of the electronic scene.

The awards themselves are represented by the unique "Kryptonite" trophy, symbolizing the island's unmatched nightlife and the thrill of the unknown. With hundreds of artists considered each year, the DJ Awards continues to be a pivotal platform for celebrating the dynamic world of dance music.
