## Description

Dublin Local Authorities Golfing Society (DLAGS) is a golf society that brings members together for regular outings, friendly competition and social events. Its season features visits to golf courses around Dublin and beyond, with fixtures scheduled throughout the year at venues including St. Anne’s, Seapoint, Powerscourt, Balbriggan, Silloge Park, Tulfarris, Luttrellstown, Laytown and Bettystown, Jameson Links and Corballis. Members can take part in singles outings, a Captain’s Prize day, a four-person open team event and a Christmas team scramble. The society also organises golf trips, including a 2026 visit to the Murcia region of Spain featuring four rounds across local courses, and a planned 2027 break in Athlone. DLAGS shares fixture information, timesheet booking details, outing results, society handicaps and prize adjustments through its website. Its programme combines golf with opportunities to meet fellow players and enjoy social occasions, with some events welcoming non-members. The society is supported by a committee and led in 2026 by Captain Fran Dawson, who highlights camaraderie and member participation as central to its activities.
