## Description

DLB Ranch, Inc. is a nonprofit equine center in Cottonwood, California, offering equine-assisted therapy and learning for children and adults. Its programs use guided, ground-based activities with horses to support personal growth and help participants navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and other mental, emotional, or behavioral concerns. The ranch provides individual and group sessions, and its services welcome families, youth, people in recovery, and teams seeking leadership development.

Led by certified equine specialists and therapists, sessions draw on methods developed by Greg Kersten’s OK Corral Series. Participants learn to observe how horses communicate and interact, using those experiences to build self-awareness, emotional intelligence, boundaries, problem-solving skills, and resilience. Activities are designed to be engaging as well as reflective, creating opportunities for connection and learning in a supportive outdoor setting. DLB Ranch has a covered arena that allows sessions to take place throughout the year. The organization describes its mission as helping people find strength and confidence through connection with horses and offers its programs to individuals, groups, and families.
