## Description

Dragon Martial Arts Academy – Creston (DMA Creston) is a traditional Taekwon-Do school in Creston, British Columbia, focused on teaching and preserving Taekwon-Do in its original form. A proud member of the BC Taekwon-Do Network, the academy offers group classes for children and adults, welcoming students from age five through 75. Its training emphasizes the art’s five tenets: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit.

DMA Creston is led by owner and head instructor Derek Hall, a fifth-degree black belt who opened the school in 2020, and assistant instructor Cassidy Folk, a first-degree black belt. Grandmaster Tom Thurston, a ninth-degree black belt and longtime Taekwon-Do practitioner, also volunteers in teen and adult classes, supporting students through individual guidance. The academy’s programs provide structured martial arts instruction for a range of ages and experience levels, with an approach that encourages discipline, respect, confidence, and physical fitness. Located in the former firehall building at 140 10th Avenue North, DMA Creston invites prospective students to contact the school to try a free class.
