## Description

The Deutsch-Mongolische Kooperationsprojekt Nachhaltige Landwirtschaft (DMKNL) is a collaborative initiative between Germany and Mongolia aimed at modernizing agriculture in Mongolia through sustainable practices. Established by the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture in partnership with Mongolia's Ministry of Industry and Agriculture, this project has been an essential platform for exchanging expertise and policy ideas to support the development of resilient and sustainable food systems.

With a significant focus on enhancing food security and improving agricultural livelihoods, DMKNL works to engage various stakeholders in both countries. The initiative encompasses diverse services, including training for agricultural advisors, workshops on cooperative structures, and field inspections to ensure quality in seed and plant propagation. Key topics addressed include climate adaptation, best farming practices, and strengthening community agricultural structures. 

As of November 2024, the project, which has actively contributed to growth in Mongolia’s agricultural sector and improved economic perspectives for over 12 years, has concluded, but its vision for sustainable agricultural development remains vibrant.
