## Description

DM Rider Training provides motorcycle licence training and rider coaching across Auckland, Hamilton, Waikato, Tauranga, Rotorua and the wider Bay of Plenty. Founded by Dugal Matheson, the business supports new and experienced riders with qualified instructors who combine structured training with a personal, encouraging approach.

Courses cover the key stages of motorcycle licensing in New Zealand: the Basic Handling Skills Test (BHST) for learner riders, and Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) for restricted and full licences. Instructors help riders build practical skills, confidence and safe road habits while preparing for assessments. The full-licence assessment focuses on advanced riding and handling different traffic situations; applicants must have held a restricted licence for at least 12 months before applying for a full licence.

DM Rider Training also offers one-to-one on-road coaching and group sessions, with weekday and weekend availability. Training is tailored to each rider’s experience and goals, from learning to ride for the first time to developing skills and progressing to a higher licence. Courses are NZTA-approved.
