Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) is an international non-profit organization that has made medical history by developing life-saving medicines for neglected patients around the world. Since 2003, DNDi has successfully developed 12 affordable treatments for 6 deadly diseases, saving millions of lives. Their work focuses on a wide range of neglected diseases including sleeping sickness, visceral leishmaniasis, cutaneous leishmaniasis, Chagas disease, filaria (river blindness), mycetoma, paediatric HIV, cryptococcal meningitis, hepatitis C, dengue, COVID-19, and antimicrobial resistance.


DNDi operates through research and development, clinical trials, and advocacy to ensure that their treatments are accessible, affordable, and available to the communities in need. They prioritize collaborative partnerships, gender equity, climate change, and the use of AI and new technologies in their work. With a global network of partners, DNDi is committed to advocating for policy change to achieve effective and equitable research and access to medicines for all people in need, regardless of their income or location
