## Description

DNM Watch is an informational website that tracks the status and history of darknet markets, distinguishing brands described by independent sources as active from those known to have closed, exited, or been seized. Its 2026 market index organizes profiles by status and includes timelines, reported cryptocurrency policies, and context about major law-enforcement actions. The site says it does not publish onion addresses or mirror lists, positioning its material as a reference rather than a directory for accessing hidden services.

Alongside market listings, DNM Watch explains how it assesses status, noting that “active” reflects sustained discussion in sources it considers reliable rather than a direct uptime check. Its articles cover the evolution of darknet marketplaces, common marketplace models, escrow arrangements, and the risks of phishing, impersonation, and misleading outage claims. The site also discusses how Bitcoin and Monero are used in this context and encourages readers to verify significant claims against official records or signed communications.
