## Description

DÔ Clube de Aikido is a nonprofit association in Lisbon that has promoted Aikido and related Budo martial arts since 1997. The club also supports seminars, practitioner gatherings and other activities that contribute to its members’ development. Its teaching follows a technical heritage associated with Master Georges Stobbaerts, who helped establish Aikido in Portugal. Since 2018, the club’s Master and Technical Director has been Roberto Sánchez, a Shihan and 6th Dan Aikikai.

For the 2026–2027 season, DÔ offers classes for adults, adolescents and children. Adult sessions take place in the morning and evening at Budokai de Lisboa, as well as at lunchtime at the Instituto Superior Técnico’s AEIST pavilion. Adolescent and children’s classes are also held at Budokai. The club’s instructors include João Nuno Silva and José Caldeira, both 4th Dan Aikikai, and João Gil, 2nd Dan Aikikai. DÔ welcomes enquiries from people interested in learning Aikido or joining its classes.
