## Description

The Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) is a community-driven discovery service for scholarly, peer-reviewed open access books. Based in the Netherlands, with its registered office at the National Library in The Hague, DOAB is provided by the DOAB Foundation as a joint service of OAPEN, OpenEdition, CNRS and Aix-Marseille Université. Its catalogue includes more than 110,500 books, helping readers discover research and identify trusted open access book publishers.

Users can search by keyword and browse books by subject, publisher, collection or language. DOAB also offers services and information for librarians, researchers and publishers, including metadata, guidance on publisher requirements and applications, and PRISM, its Peer Review Information Service for Monographs. The Trusted Platform Network supports collaboration around trusted open access book infrastructure. DOAB’s services are free of charge, and its data is freely available. Through its discovery tools, publisher resources, news and partnerships, DOAB works to make peer-reviewed open access books easier to find and support the scholarly communities that publish and use them.
