## Description

Doarpsfeestferieniging De Westereen is a local association that brings the community of De Westereen together through its village festival, held every two years. The organization coordinates festival activities, shares news and information, and invites residents to take part as attendees, members and volunteers. Its website also features the Westereender DoarpsKwis, Jachtseizoen 2.0, event programmes, participation details, house rules and an archive of past news.

The next announced village festival, themed “Westereender Wylde Westen,” is scheduled for 11–18 September 2027 at Sportloane 5, beside the sports hall. The eight-day celebration is planned around a Wild West theme, with music, festivities, adventure and community spirit. Recent coverage of the 2026 Westereender Fest highlights a village quiz, a Holland-themed evening, DJ performances, an Oktoberfest afternoon, live music and fireworks. The association also acknowledges its sponsors and provides information for people interested in membership or helping out. Residents with questions, ideas or an interest in volunteering can contact the organizers by email.
