## Description

Doc Society is a global non-profit organization founded in 2005 with a mission to enable great documentary films and connect them with audiences worldwide. With a commitment to anti-racism, economic justice, and climate justice, Doc Society brings people together to unleash the transformative power of independent documentary filmmaking. The organization serves individual filmmakers and a network of partners that support them on a global scale. They help build new models, encouraging innovation, and sharing freely to inspire continuous innovation. Doc Society believes that documentaries have the ability to engage and connect people, transform communities, and improve societies. Their driving principle is the impact of art and the art of impact, cascading new perspectives from the fringe to the mainstream. Currently, their two priorities are addressing the Climate Emergency and shaping the Future of Democracy. Through dedicated story units, labs, and funds, Doc Society collaborates with academics, activists, journalists, and social scientists to explore the most effective narratives for positive change. Join their movement and learn how to support their cause to create a fairer and more inclusive world.
