## Description

The DoD HBCU/MI Summer Research Internship Program is a vital initiative designed to provide HBCU and Minority Institution students, as well as recent graduates, with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Department of Defense (DoD)-relevant STEM research. This prestigious program allows participants to gain hands-on experience at leading DoD facilities while contributing to meaningful projects.

Interns, working full-time from May 27 to August 9, 2025, can expect to receive a competitive stipend of $1,400 per week along with an $800 dislocation payment to assist with relocation expenses. The program also provides travel and accommodation arrangements, ensuring that interns focus on their research without worrying about logistics. Participants are required to attend an Intern Seminar in Arlington, VA, and must report on their findings through posters and abstracts.

With a focus on fostering diversity in STEM fields, the DoD HBCU/MI Summer Research Internship Program is an excellent gateway for aspiring scientists. Applications must be submitted by January 12, 2025.
