## Description

Dogs Australia serves as the leading authority on registered purebred dogs in Australia, advocating for ethical breeding and the welfare of canines since its establishment in 1958. As a not-for-profit organization, it champions responsible dog ownership, supporting breed conformation shows and canine sports that align with breeds' natural instincts. Dogs Australia provides invaluable resources for prospective owners, including comprehensive guides on selecting the right dog breed through its breed matcher tool, and access to registered breeders.

It also encourages dog adoption, emphasizing the joy of giving pets a second chance through responsible rehoming initiatives. The organization maintains the ORCHID database focused on heritable canine diseases and actively engages in vital research to promote canine health.
