## Description

Dojo Zen is a community-based educational and sports centre in Albano Laziale, founded in 2007 as part of a wider bio-ecological education project. Guided by the idea of “not only sport,” it promotes respect, learning, friendship, courage, kindness and mutual support. Its dojo offers martial arts including Judo, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Filipino Kali, Kick Boxing and self-defence, alongside activities focused on wellbeing and personal development. These include Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, internal arts courses, Pilates, fitness and posture-focused training. Children and young people can also take part in sport climbing, summer camps and day centres, while the organisation offers birthday celebrations and other recreational activities. Its school projects address bullying and cyberbullying, developmental neuropsychological challenges and physical interaction. The S.O.S.S. programme provides emergency-response training for secondary school students in collaboration with national rescue organisations. Dojo Zen operates in renovated premises developed according to bio-building principles and works with local associations and public bodies.
