## Description

Dawn of Light is an Open Source project established in March 2003. It is the first free open-source server emulator for Dark Age of Camelot (DAOC). With the goal of emulating DAOC's live servers, Dawn of Light provides the community with the ability to create their own servers and custom content, while strictly adhering to the game's rules. Written in C# and using the .NET Framework, Dawn of Light utilizes a MySQL database server running on a Windows machine. However, it's important to note that playing on a Dawn of Light powered server using your DAOC client violates your End User License Agreement (EULA) with Mythic and may lead to the closure of your live DAOC account. Additionally, if hosting a Dawn of Light powered server, it is prohibited to charge for services or modify client files. Dawn of Light is made possible by the contributions of various developers, database management, and website teams.
