## Description

Dona Bertarelli Philanthropy is a philanthropic organisation founded by Swiss philanthropist, investor and sportswoman Dona Bertarelli. Its mission is to foster a healthy balance between people and nature, bringing organisations and communities together to protect, inspire and unite through advocacy, education, science, technology and locally driven initiatives. The organisation supports and implements projects designed to advance biodiversity and deliver practical conservation outcomes. Its focus areas span nature and people, including marine protected areas, the deep sea, coastal ecosystems and ocean governance, alongside education, sports, arts and health. Through partnerships and alliances, it backs ocean protection and conservation efforts, raises awareness of biodiversity, and engages young people in learning about and safeguarding the natural world. The philanthropy also supports public education initiatives that make international cooperation and environmental issues more accessible. Its work is presented through programmes, campaigns, news and collaborations with partner organisations. Guided by Bertarelli’s commitment to the ocean and the wider living world, the organisation seeks lasting solutions that benefit communities, wildlife and future generations.
