## Description

The Fundació Banc de Sang i Teixits de les Illes Balears (Blood and Tissue Bank Foundation of the Balearic Islands) promotes blood donation and helps coordinate collection efforts across Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. Its website highlights the ongoing need for donors, noting that 200 donations are needed each day in the islands, and encourages people to take part in saving lives.

The foundation provides practical information about who can donate, what happens during the donation process and the role of blood. Donors can request appointments, access a donor portal and check itinerant collection points, fixed locations and schedules. The site also shares updates on blood reserve levels and explains donation by apheresis. For people unsure whether they are eligible, it offers a preliminary questionnaire, while personal stories help raise awareness and encourage participation. Through its Coopera initiative, the foundation invites people to organize donation campaigns and support public outreach. Based in Palma, it also provides contact details, donor resources and information on privacy and other legal matters.
