## Description

Don James West is an artist creating small, one-of-a-kind oil landscapes and still lifes inspired by traditional American painting. His work features quiet rural scenes, remembered places, classic still lifes, and intimate views of nature, with an emphasis on light, color, and atmosphere. Painting alla prima, or in one sitting, West uses a palette knife to give each original a distinctive presence.

The artist offers collectible original oil paintings, including available works for purchase through his website and eBay store. One listed example, Countryside Scene, is a signed 6-by-8-inch original. Each painting is made on premium oil-primed linen, finished with Gamvar varnish, and signed by West on the front and back. Orders are carefully packed and sent with tracking and insurance.

Visitors can browse current paintings, learn about the artist and collecting, and read journal entries or studio notes. A mailing list offers subscribers early notice of new work and occasional updates. Don James West presents his paintings as carefully made originals intended to be collected and kept.
