Our team is passionate about the bike life and technology and has set out to create a new, collaborative way of moving that is engaging, easy, and accessible worldwide. We are as stubborn as a donkey when it comes to creating a better world by making sustainable mobility available to everyone. Our history dates back to 2012 when our co-founder, Erdem Ovacik, shared a room with a friend in Copenhagen.

This inspired him to create an easier way to share bikes with others, leading to the creation of Donkey Republic in 2014. Since then, we have helped millions of people worldwide make green and sustainable choices through our modern and intuitive bike-sharing solution. Today, we have over 20,000 Donkey bikes in more than 71 cities, with a team of 45 bike mechanics ensuring their reliability.
