## Description

Don Valley Festival is a registered charity and community arts festival based in Doncaster, celebrating creativity since 1912. It brings together performers, artists, photographers, families and supporters in a welcoming setting, encouraging people of all ages to develop and share their talents. The 2027 festival takes place from 19 to 21 March at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy in Edlington.

The festival offers four sections: Music, Speech & Drama, Art and Photography. Music classes range from beginner piano and strings to singing, ensembles and choirs. Speech & Drama includes poetry, storytelling, public speaking and acting, with set poems and class guidance available. The Art section invites participants to respond to the 2027 theme, “My Happy Place,” through traditional or digital work. Photography entrants can compete in Colour, Composition or Creative Angles, with entry free.

Don Valley Festival provides syllabuses, regulations, class information and online entry updates, alongside constructive feedback from experienced adjudicators. It also welcomes volunteers, donations and class sponsorship to support local participation.
