## Description

Dooinit is a Rennes-based cultural organisation known for promoting hip-hop and related music through its long-running Dooinit Festival, first held in 2010. The festival brings international and French artists to the city, with past lineups featuring hip-hop pioneers, contemporary rappers, DJs, producers, jazz musicians and emerging local performers. Its programming spans hip-hop, jazz, funk, R&B, neo-soul and modern jazz, reflecting the connections between these musical traditions.

Dooinit’s activities extend beyond festival concerts. It organises events throughout the year, including a free neighbourhood Block Party with music, food, family activities, breakdance and graffiti workshops. Its wider programme includes dance battles, DJ nights, talks, conferences, listening sessions and round-table discussions, often developed with local cultural partners and venues. The organisation also presents concerts and collaborative events, including projects with other music festivals and community groups. Based in Rennes, Dooinit offers audiences opportunities to experience live music, dance and hip-hop culture in both festival and community settings, while providing a platform for established artists and new voices.
