## Description

Dorset Fine Arts is the wholesale marketing division of the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative, based in Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut. Established in Toronto in 1978, it develops and serves markets for fine art created by artist members of the Co-operative, whose distinctive focus is the arts and artists of the community. The organisation represents acclaimed Inuit graphic artists and sculptors, and its offerings include prints, drawings, sculptures, publications, and the annual Cape Dorset print collection, released since 1959. It also shares information about printmaking, drawing, carving, artists, and available works, and supports exhibitions and licensing partnerships. Dorset Fine Arts presents work through its Toronto showroom and connects galleries around the world with art from the Co-operative. It does not sell directly to the public; prospective buyers are directed to listed galleries, which can request pricing and availability. The organisation also provides guidance for finding a gallery and information about commissions and copyright requests, helping audiences and institutions engage with Inuit art and its creators.
