Arbeitskreis Down-Syndrom Deutschland e. V. is a nationwide association committed to the rights, recognition and social inclusion of people with Down syndrome. For more than 45 years, it has worked to promote acceptance in society and contributes to political discussions and social-policy forums. The association provides information and nationwide advice for people with Down syndrome, their families and others seeking guidance. Its services include informational brochures, which can be ordered, and a selection of books covering Down syndrome, family life and wellbeing. The organisation also publishes MITTEILUNGEN, its magazine, and maintains a blog featuring news and resources related to disability, healthcare, inclusion, family support and self-advocacy.
