## Description

Dreamwords offers creative writing instruction in Basel, helping people write with greater ease, freedom and authenticity. Led by Beate Kogon, the practice uses free thought association and other creative writing methods to encourage imaginative ideas and a fresh approach to writing. Courses and seminars are available through the Volkshochschule Basel, in weekend sessions and through individual lessons. Dreamwords also provides tailored writing courses for companies and schools, designed for teams and classes. For writers working on a personal project, Beate offers one-to-one writing guidance, either as a focused consultation or as support over a longer period.

Participants learn to draw on spontaneous associations rather than relying only on logical, analytical thinking. These techniques can help generate story ideas, inspire autobiographical writing, shape personal messages such as birthday greetings, and open up new ways to approach professional texts. The sessions can also help people reconnect with their creativity and enjoy writing again.
