IDG is a driver-led and driver-powered advocacy group known as the Independent Drivers Guild. They are dedicated to fighting for the rights of drivers nationwide. Their main goal is to unite drivers and advocate for their right to collective bargaining, which gives drivers the power to negotiate fair working conditions.

Established in 2016, IDG has become the leading driver organization in the country, representing 80,000 for-hire drivers in New York City and advocating for over 250,000 drivers across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Illinois. IDG has achieved significant victories for drivers, putting over $2 billion in drivers' pockets. They successfully fought for tipping options to be made mandatory for every rideshare company operating in New York City.

They also secured a minimum wage of $27. 86 per hour for drivers, providing them with more financial stability. Additionally, IDG ensures that drivers have a seat at the table to advocate for better working conditions and have implemented a strong appeal process for drivers who face deactivation from apps.

Through their engaged community of members and activists, IDG continues to champion for a fair and equitable workplace for all independent drivers
