## Description

The DRK-Ortsverein Oker/Harz e.V. is a local German Red Cross association serving Oker and the surrounding area of Goslar. With roots dating back to 1924, it brings together 130 members, including 15 active volunteers, who support people through social work, medical services, humanitarian assistance and disaster response.

The association’s volunteer response team provides help in emergencies such as major accidents and floods, as well as medical support at events. Its youth organization, the German Red Cross Youth, offers children and young people opportunities to take part in the movement. The group also supports blood donation events in Oker and shares information to help people refresh their first-aid knowledge. Visitors can find contacts for the association’s different activities and learn how to become a member and support its work.

Rooted in community service and volunteer engagement, the Oker/Harz association contributes to local preparedness and care while connecting residents with the wider work of the German Red Cross.
