## Description

The German Red Cross Local Association Selters e.V. is a community-based organisation serving Selters and the surrounding area. Its history dates back to 1890, and it reports around 500 members, including 54 active volunteers and 446 supporting members. The association focuses on social support, medical services, humanitarian assistance and disaster response.

Its work includes providing first aid and medical support at public events, such as concerts and street festivals, and offering first-aid courses that teach participants how to respond to emergencies and help save lives. The association also promotes blood donation, helping support the wider Red Cross blood supply effort. Its welfare and social work is carried out by volunteers, and it collects donated clothing through clothing containers to support its humanitarian activities.

The website provides information about local services, courses, events and ways to contribute. People can explore opportunities to volunteer, become members or make donations to support relief projects. Through these activities, the Selters association connects local participation with the broader mission of the German Red Cross.
