## Description

The DRK Ortsverein Weeze e.V. is the local German Red Cross association serving Weeze and the wider Kleve district in the Lower Rhine region. Its team of around 40 trained volunteers supports community safety and humanitarian response throughout the year. The association provides medical cover at festivals, sporting events and larger public gatherings, and participates in the district’s civil protection unit, helping with care, supplies and evacuations when emergencies affect many people. Its emergency operations vehicle and communications group support coordination during deployments. The organization also offers first-aid education and training for responders and anyone who wants to act confidently in an emergency. Through the Youth Red Cross, children and young people from age six can learn first aid, take responsibility and join shared activities. The association organizes blood donation appointments in cooperation with the German Red Cross Blood Donation Service. Residents can volunteer, request event medical coverage, donate or attend regular service evenings.
