## Description

The German Red Cross in the StädteRegion Aachen is a regional humanitarian and social welfare organization serving communities across the Aachen district. Guided by the Red Cross mission, it helps people in emergencies, supports those facing hardship, promotes humanitarian principles, and brings volunteers and local communities together. Its services span emergency response, health, family support, inclusion, and everyday assistance.

Residents can access a 24-hour home emergency call service, meal delivery, day services, medical transport, and public ambulance services. The organization also supports children and families through childcare centers, family education, and family support programs. Its health and safety offerings include first-aid courses for adults, children, and workplaces, as well as professional training in fire safety, evacuation, and caregiving.

Additional programs address refugee support, migration and integration, social development, clothing assistance, and help locating missing persons. In emergencies, local units provide disaster response, medical event cover, rescue dog teams, mountain and water rescue, and blood donation services.
