## Description

The Danish Red Cross is a humanitarian organisation working to prevent and relieve human suffering in Denmark and around the world. Guided by the principle of being there for people, it supports communities affected by conflict, disasters and other difficult circumstances. Its international work includes providing assistance to people in need and partnering with others to help save lives and support communities. In Denmark, the organisation offers routes to help for people facing challenging situations, including those seeking connection or someone to talk to. It also provides information for refugees from Ukraine, people needing medical treatment and those trying to reconnect with someone. The Danish Red Cross invites people to support its work through donations and volunteering, including unpaid social and humanitarian roles open to non-Danish speakers. It also offers first-aid training, helping people learn how to respond quickly in emergencies and reduce the effects of accidents. Staff and volunteers work together across Danish and international programmes, while the organisation provides career opportunities and channels for raising concerns about misconduct.
