## Description

Drops Organizzazione di Volontariato (Drops ODV) is an Italian volunteer organization founded in 2005, working between Italy and Kenya to support vulnerable communities and promote sustainable development. Its projects focus on rural areas around Watamu, Timboni and Gede, where the organization collaborates closely with local residents to build opportunities for long-term, community-led growth.

Drops runs programs supporting children through distance sponsorship, healthcare, assistance for children with disabilities and support for orphanages. It also organizes medical volunteer camps and Drops Experience solidarity trips, which connect visitors with local communities. Alongside these ongoing programs, the organization raises funds for specific needs, including clinic and school improvements and medical treatment.

Supporters can contribute through donations, project-specific fundraising and Italy’s five-per-thousand tax allocation, or take part as volunteers. Drops describes its approach as practical support that encourages independence rather than relying solely on assistance. Based in Palermo, the organization shares updates about its work and provides ways for individuals to help advance its educational, health and social initiatives in Kenya.
