## Description

Doctors for America (DFA) is a dynamic organization dedicated to improving community health by mobilizing physicians and medical students to prioritize patient care over political agendas. Founded with a mission to advocate for equitable access to affordable healthcare, DFA addresses critical issues such as health justice, reproductive rights, and public health initiatives.

The organization actively engages in advocacy efforts at both state and federal levels, pushing for key policies, including Medicaid expansion and legislation to prevent gun violence. DFA’s initiatives also tackle substance use disorders and promote community health and prevention strategies.

In addition to advocacy, DFA offers programs like the Copello Health Advocacy Fellowship, equipping future healthcare leaders with essential skills. Membership provides healthcare professionals with unique resources and networking opportunities, while donations are vital for sustaining their impactful work. Through various channels, including an active social media presence and community events, Doctors for America remains committed to driving meaningful change in the healthcare landscape.
