About

Description

Dryhootch Milwaukee is a nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping veterans and their families successfully transition from war to peacetime. Founded by combat veterans, Dryhootch provides a safe and welcoming environment in the form of a coffee house where veterans can gather and connect with others who have had similar experiences. This drug-and-alcohol-free space encourages peer interaction, camaraderie, and support.

The inspiration behind Dryhootch was to create a retail coffee shop run by veterans, with the aim of building a strong network of veteran families and fostering community integration. The name Dryhootch speaks to the organization's mission, as hootch is military slang for a safe place to sleep during combat, while dry emphasizes the organization's commitment to providing an alcohol-free environment. In addition to offering a welcoming atmosphere, Dryhootch also takes pride in its delicious coffee blends.

Each coffee roast represents a different branch of the military and has its own unique backstory. Whether you're sipping Marine Mud, Navy Destroyer, Special Forces BOLD, Air Force Jet Fuel, Coast Guard Seizure, or Army Bunker Brew, you can enjoy a cup of coffee that supports a worthy cause. Dryhootch Milwaukee has multiple locations, including 1030 E Brady Street and 4801 W National Ave.

They offer various programs like peer training, resources for readjustment, employment assistance, legal help, and addiction support. Their QRF Mobile program brings assistance wherever it's needed. Families of veterans can also find support through Dryhootch.

If you're a veteran or a supporter of veterans, Dryhootch is the place to be. Stay connected with Dryhootch by signing up for their newsletter and following them on social media
