## Description

Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks (DSGO) is a community organization serving families in southwest Missouri and supporting inclusion and wellness for individuals with Down syndrome. Its work centers on helping families build relationships, find useful resources, and navigate the experiences and decisions that come with parenting a child with Down syndrome. DSGO welcomes new parents and connects them with a caring community of families who can share support and insight.

The organization offers local Life Groups in Springfield and Joplin, along with events throughout the year, including Step Up & Splash and Santa’s Workshop. Its resources include information organized by topic and the T21 Podcast, recorded monthly at Upside Down Mercantile and focused on issues relevant to the Down syndrome community. Upside Down Mercantile is a retail development project of DSGO. Families can also use the DSGO Family App to follow events and stay informed about the organization’s activities. Through these programs, services, and community connections, DSGO works to foster a more inclusive community and support family well-being.
