The Digital Television Group (DTG) is the UK’s independent research and technology organisation for television. For more than 30 years, it has helped drive digital TV innovation and support the development of the UK television industry. DTG brings together broadcasters, technology companies, network operators and other industry participants to address the changing needs of television, including the convergence of content and networks and the delivery of video across screens, devices and formats.

Its work combines expert collaboration, research and practical resources. DTG members can participate in working groups, technical meetings, forums and events, and access member-only documents and insights through the Member Hub. The organisation also publishes white papers, reports, best-practice guides and other resources, and runs events and webcasts on topics such as IP-delivered television, advertising, interoperability and ultra-high-definition TV. DTG shares industry news and analysis through its website and weekly Friday Bulletin. Through these services, it aims to turn collective expertise into solutions and help shape the future of television.
