The festival’s 2026 season, scheduled for May and June, features plays by Obie Award winner Arturo Luiz Soria, Tony nominee Reg E. Gaines, acclaimed author Kevin Powell, and emerging writers. DUAF describes its history through 24 years of theater, 246 playwrights, and 346 plays produced, reflecting a sustained commitment to bringing new voices and stories to the stage.

Audiences can explore the festival schedule, find ticket information, and access a program guide through the website. The festival presents performances at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater and Shares at La MaMa, both in New York City. Playwrights can also find information about submitting work, while visitors may contact the organization with questions or requests for accessibility accommodations.
