Founded by Dewey (Orv) Broberg, the company combines his two passions: radio control and fishing. It all started with Orv's ingenuity, as he transformed a nose gear steering arm from a model airplane into a groundbreaking downrigger release. This initial success propelled DUBRO Fishing to create numerous new products over the next eight years, cementing their place in the tackle industry. In 1990, Orv passed the torch to his son Jim and daughters Gayle and Kathy, who carried forward the vision of creating innovative tools to help anglers catch more fish and enjoy their time on the water. In 2019, Brian Bychowski took over as the owner after 19 years as the sales and marketing director.
