## Description

DuPage Public Safety Communications (DU-COMM) is an intergovernmental agency that provides emergency communication services to police, fire, and emergency medical services in DuPage County. With over 40 years of experience, DU-COMM is one of the largest consolidated 9-1-1 centers in Illinois, serving 44 agencies. Their Operations department is staffed by highly trained telecommunicators who answer incoming 9-1-1 calls and dispatch for various police and fire positions. The Support Services department handles technical services and management information systems, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of agency radio infrastructure. DU-COMM embodies efficient government and consolidated services, with municipalities and fire districts working together to deliver a high level of service to their citizens in public safety communications. They are supported by the DuPage Emergency Telephone System Board, which funds vital infrastructure. Located in a new state-of-the-art facility, DU-COMM operates on the statewide STARCOM21 system, ensuring reliable and interoperable communication. They also serve as the dispatch center for M.A.B.A.S. Division 12 and Division 16, coordinating responses during major incidents.
