## Description

HD | Duecitânia Design Hotel is a themed design hotel in Penela, in Portugal’s Coimbra region, created under the motto “Veni, Vidi, Vivi” (“Come, See, Live”). Housed in a former paper factory built above a river, the hotel brings together contact with nature, contemporary design and inspiration from Roman culture. Its concept traces the history of Rome, from its founding to the fall of the Empire, through distinctive interiors and guest experiences.

The hotel offers 42 individually styled rooms, decorated in a light, contemporary manner with references to Roman symbols and heritage. Dining is available at GUSTATIO, a restaurant set in an elegant Roman-inspired atmosphere with views of the surrounding landscape. TABERNAE, the hotel bar overlooking its gardens, provides a relaxed setting for socialising. Guests can also enjoy the AquaVenus spa, inspired by the Roman appreciation of wellbeing and care of the body.

Additional facilities include spaces for meetings and events.
