## Description

Duikteam Hoeksche Waard is a diving club on the Hoeksche Waard, founded on 11 February 1984. Its purpose is to bring people together to enjoy the sport of diving in a friendly club environment. The association welcomes people interested in learning to dive, gaining experience, or finding fellow divers for shared activities.

The club provides NOB/CMAS diving courses and training led by its own instructors, who qualified through the Dutch Underwater Sports Federation (Nederlandse Onderwatersport Bond), affiliated with NOC*NSF and CMAS. Training takes place both in the swimming pool and in open water. Pool sessions are held on Friday evenings at De Wellen in ’s-Gravendeel, while the club also organizes diving in outdoor waters. Beginners can arrange an introductory dive to discover the sport, and members can take part in planned pool and open-water activities. With its active membership and emphasis on learning, safe diving, and enjoying the hobby together, Duikteam Hoeksche Waard offers a local community for divers at different stages of experience.
