## Description

Over the course of its 18-year run, the DUMBO Arts Festival grew into a renowned platform for experimental art, drawing in more than 200,000 visitors each fall. The festival provided emerging artists with an unparalleled opportunity to showcase their work in the public domain, with site-specific sculptural interventions, international video art installations, and large-scale projections transforming the post-industrial landscape of DUMBO. The festival embraced all forms of artistic expression, encouraging artists to push boundaries and engage with the community. It fostered a spirit of exploration and discovery as both artists and audiences ventured into every corner of the neighborhood, uncovering hidden gems and experiencing art in unexpected ways. Though the festival came to a close in 2014, it leaves behind a legacy of creativity and artistic innovation. Thousands of artists, both local and international, participated in the DUMBO Arts Festival, making it a testament to the power of art to transform spaces and unite communities.
