## Description

Westfest is a free annual community festival held on Magdalen Green in the west end of Dundee. Run entirely by volunteers, it brings local residents and visitors together for a day of music, food, family activities and community celebration. The 2026 event, titled Big Sunday, is scheduled for 7 June from 12pm to 8pm and is free for all the family.

The festival’s programme includes live music from local bands and DJs, a carnival, a DJ tent and a bar area. Food stalls offer local produce, ice cream and other treats, while local traders and arts and crafts add opportunities to browse and shop. Children and adults can enjoy carnival rides, games, face painting, a bouncy castle and other attractions, alongside displays and further activities.

Westfest also invites vendors and sponsors to get involved through applications. As a volunteer-run event, it relies on fundraising and donations to help cover festival costs. Supporters can donate any amount or contribute £5 by text. Westfest is a registered charity, number SC041056.
